But again, Clash of Clans isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. ![]() Even with the addition of new Super Troops and Town Hall levels, the same sort of excitement just isn’t there. ![]() It’s been a while since we’ve had an update that truly made us excited, though, and it’s worrisome that Clash of Clans is starting to feel a little stale. Updates aren’t as frequent, coming about once every quarter, with the most recent arriving in September. We don’t know what the future holds for Clash of Clans but as long as it remains one of Supercell’s most profitable titles, it’s going to keep running. It’s Supercell’s most successful title by far. Although it may not be as popular as it once was, it’s still a juggernaut in the gaming space.Īccording to Statista, it generated more than $483 million in 2020 alone. Clash of Clans is not shutting down in 2022. This immediately led to speculation and even concern that Supercell could be preparing to pull the plug on the long-running Clash of Clans. ![]() Last month, Supercell announced the next update (presumably this month) will end support for devices running operating systems lower than iOS 11 and Android 5.0. The ever-growing mobile space is constantly evolving and Clash of Clans is one of the OGs. In mobile gaming years, that may as well be ancient.
